An initiative of Sports Ministry, stadium facilities will be free for the training of players
The Sports Ministry has decided to open four stadiums of Delhi including Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium and Karni Singh Shooting Range from November 1 for all players without any fees. This decision has been taken to promote Fit India and provide facilities to players in the playground.
The Sports Ministry has taken a historic step to promote Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Fit India campaign. The Sports Ministry has decided to open the stadiums to all. Union Sports Minister Kiran Rijiju said that the Sports Authority of India will free the facilities of stadiums for organizing the league.
The sports ministry has decided to promote sports across the country and provide basic facilities to sportspersons. Kiran Rijiju said I believe that all facilities should be given to athletes and sports facilities are made for them only. Coaches can also make an online booking to train their students in these stadiums for free.

According to news agency PTI, in the first phase, Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Indira Gandhi Stadium, Major Dhyanchand National Stadium, and Karni Singh Shooting Range will be available for conducting competitions and leagues for the state and sports federations. The football league has been held at Nehru Stadium, while wrestling, boxing, judo, and badminton have been played at IG Stadium.
Sports Minister Rijiju said that to promote the sports culture in the country, it has been decided to increase the use of existing sports infrastructure by three times in the next three months. It is expected that this will not only promote fitness but also inspire the youth to join sports.
