America gave signals of friendship with Pakistan
Washington, PTI Perhaps to reduce China’s growing influence, the US has once again started its efforts to increase its proximity to its old ally Pakistan (Pakistan).
There are some similar indications from the statement of a top U.S. general. General Mark A., named as the Chief of Staff, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. General Mark A Milley said that at present, the United States and its MPs need to maintain strong military relations with Pakistan.
This statement came just before the meeting of Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan and the US President Donald Trump. This meeting is due to be held in the White House at the end of this month.
The American General said that although we have suspended security assistance and have stopped negotiations on defense issues, we need to maintain strong military-military relations on the basis of our common interests. The American General gave this statement in response to written questions during the Senate Armed Services Committee hearings.
More recently, the Foreign Ministry spokesman Muhammad Faisal was told that Imran Khan is going to America on President Trump’s invitation. The main agenda of the dialogue of both the leaders will focus on bringing freshness in bilateral relations.
Prime Minister Imran Khan will meet President Donald Trump on July 22 during his visit. It will be the first meeting of the Pakistani Prime Minister’s Trump.
Imran Khan’s visit is going on at a time when the relations between the two countries have not been very good. Earlier, Trump had canceled military aid to Pakistan saying that he did nothing in the fight against terrorism.
