America comes forward to help after severe devastation in Beirut, avoiding Iran-backed Hezbollah
Washington, Agency. After the horrific blasts in Beirut, the capital of Lebanon, the US has started providing massive assistance. However, the US has made it clear that its help is not for Iran-backed Hezbollah. The US said that these officials should ensure that this supply is reaching the needy people.
America is in contact with Lebanese armed forces
On the other hand, the top US commander of the Middle East and the head of the Central Command, Frank McKenzie, said in a statement that we are in touch with the Lebanese Armed Forces and are coordinating help with them. They hoped that we would continue to provide additional assistance to Lebanon. Navy Capt. Bill Urban, a spokesman for the US Central Command, said the US aid would receive the Lebanese Armed Forces and distribute it to the victims. He said that this effort is being coordinated with the US Embassy in Beirut and USAID.
