AI Will Tell The Prognosis Of The Lives Of Heart Patients, Will Help In Providing proper Treatment

Read Time:1 Minute, 53 Second

Los Angeles, Pret. Currently, the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI) is developing rapidly. This technology is also proving beneficial in the medical field. In this sequence, scientists have got a big success. Researchers have developed an AI tool that can help determine the life expectancy of heart failure patients.

Researchers say that this tool can prove extremely helpful in the treatment of heart patients. Through this, the doctors will be able to decide what kind of treatment should be provided to the patients, which increases their chances of improvement.

According to researchers at the University of California, San Diego, USA, predicting the death of heart failure patients will be important because it can help determine what the patient is currently in. What is the risk of death in that. When these things are detected, better treatment can be provided to him, which increases his recovery rate.

The study, published in the European Journal of Heart Failure, states that researchers developed a machine learning algorithm by collecting electronic data from about six thousand heart patients at the University of California Health. Through this, the researchers developed a risk score, which could explain the risk of death in heart failure patients.

That is, the risk of death in the patient is high or low, it can be detected with its help. It includes blood pressure during cardiac dysfunction, volume of white blood cells, hemoglobin, platelets and urea and nitrogen in the blood, a chemical waste product that is excreted through ureine, etc., by breakdown of amino acids present as variables. Occur. That is, these are different in every patient, based on which the risk score can be calculated.

According to the researchers, when they discovered the life expectancy of heart patients through AI tools developed with the help of these things, the results proved to be accurate in 88 percent of cases. According to Eric Adler, co-author of this research, this tool will provide us with insights. For example, it will be able to know what the condition of the heart patient will be in the next three months or one year and what is the probability of his heart failure. Based on this, he will be able to provide proper treatment.
