Punjab Mail is one of the most historic and far-reaching trains. This train was formerly known as the Pujab Limited. The British initiated it on June 1st, 1912.
It was given the title of being the quickest train during the British era, hence the term "fast train." The majority of it is gip track.
Almost 16 years after the Punjab mail was launched, the frontier mail was established on September 1st, 1928. Following independence, this train only operated between Mumbai and Amritsar through Delhi.
Golden Temple Express was the name given to the first AC bogie train in 1996. The train also had air conditioning added in 1934. It became the first AC bogie train in the nation.
