An exhibition, titled past and beyond,’ brought together artist jains’s works which were influenced by her memories.

The exhibition encapsulates the myriad architecture styles which jain came across by virtue of her expeditions.

She works as a textile designer by trade and has been showing her paintings for more than 20 years.

Her inspiration to become an artist came from seeing her grandfather at her ancestral home in Bihar working on his watercolour drawings.

An ardent traveller, her experiences of the locations she has visited, like the mystical dwellings of Ladakh and Kashmir, are mirrored in her artwork.

From May 4 to 8, the exhibition was on view at the visual art gallery of the India Habitat Centre on Lodhi Road in New Delhi.
