2 lakh reduced corona’s active cases in five days Most parts of the country are getting relief from the second wave of Corona epidemic. Barring some states of South India, new cases are declining rapidly in the rest of the states and active cases are also decreasing in proportion to the same. If we talk about the last five days, then the active cases have come down by about two lakhs and in the new cases, there is also a decline of one lakh.
According to the updated data from the at 8 am Union Health Ministry on Monday, 2,81,837 new cases have been reported during the last 24 hours and the number of active cases has come down to 35,12,674. Whereas, on May 12, five days ago, 3,62,632 patients were found and there were 37,06,080 active cases.

Daily deaths are not decreasing
According to the ministry, 2 lakh reduced corona’s active cases in five days the number of patients recovering during this period has been steadily increasing, but the matter of concern is that the number of daily dead is not decreasing. For the past few days, an average of four thousand people are dying every day. In Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh and Delhi, the number of deaths is not decreasing even in the major states where daily cases are continuously decreasing.
Recovery rate steadily improving
The total infectious population has reached close to 25 million. Of these, about 2.12 crore patients have been completely cured and 2.74 lakh have lost their lives. The recovery rate of patients has increased to 84.81 percent. The death rate is 1.10 per cent, which had remained stable at 1.09 per cent for the last few days. The proportion of active cases is 14.09 per cent of the total infected.
In Karnataka, for the first time in three months, more people than new patients were cured
Corona in Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh in South India, including Karnataka, is not decreasing havoc. There are more than 24 thousand new cases in Andhra Pradesh. The state had never seen so many cases in a single day since the epidemic unfolded. But for the first time in three months in Karnataka, more patients (36,475) have been cured in Karnataka than new cases (31,531) in a day.
