Blood Test Detect Psychotic Disorder Scientists have claimed that an investigation into a particular protein level in the blood sample can detect the possibility of psychiatric illness.

New Delhi, Lifestyle Desk.Psychological diseases can now be detected with simple blood tests. Scientists have claimed that the possibility of psychiatric illness can be detected by examining the level of a particular protein in the blood sample. Psychosis is the initial disorder of dementia. If a person suffers from this type of dementia, then after a few years, he may become insane. The claim has been published by scientists in the latest issue of the JAMA Psychiatry Journal. Researchers at RCSE University of Medicine and Health Science have done this study. Some people are more likely to develop a psychiatric disorder such as schizophrenia, depending on the symptoms of minor and above. However, only 20 to 30 percent of these people go ahead and develop psychotic disorder. Researchers have analyzed this by taking blood samples of high-risk people in their studies.

Revealed after many years of study

Researchers kept a close eye on these people for many years and saw what kind of people went ahead with psychotic disorder and which type of people did not have a psychotic disorder. During the study, researchers analyzed proteins from blood samples with the help of machine learning. In the analysis, the researchers came to know about a particular pattern of protein, on the basis of which it can be found out which of these patients are going to have a psychotic disorder and which patients are not going to get the disease. Researchers found that most of these special types of proteins in the blood were stimulating the inflammation. This showed that in the patients who had psychotic disorder later, this protein changed the immune system in the beginning. Researchers have claimed that based on this particular pattern of proteins

Predictive protein will reveal who is at greater risk

The researchers’ study was based on the most accurate 10 most predictive proteins. This identified the true truth of people in whom the probability of having a psychotic disorder was found to be 93 percent.

The lead researcher of this study, Professor David Cotter, said that we want to protect people from psychotic disorder, but for this, it is very important to find out which symptoms people are prone to have such disorder. Our research has shown this. We have analyzed this particular type of protein with the help of machine learning, in which we will be able to find out who will be the victim of psychotic disorder in the future by a simple blood test. With this result, we will be able to treat many people with psychotic disorder early, and they will not have this disorder in future.
