Pakistan Rains: Heavy rains in Pakistan make the situation worse, so far 50 people have died
In Pakistan, about 50 people have died after heavy monsoon rains in the last 3 days. The National Disaster Management Authority of Pakistan said that the northwestern province of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa suffered the most damage, where 19 people have died.
According to the National Disaster Management Authority, 19 people have died in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in the last three days, while 12 people have died in Sindh province and 10 in the northern Gilgit Baltistan region. The NDMA has issued flood reports due to heavy rains in Khujdar, Jhal Magsi, Lassabela, Gwadar, Pasni, Kachhi, and Dera Bugti areas of Balochistan.
About 100 houses have been damaged due to floods in the villages of Sindh province and flood water has entered the main canal. Army has been deployed in flood affected areas. The work of evacuating people with the help of boats is being done. According to the army, rescue operations are being carried out in Dadu district, where 20 villages have been flooded.
Let us tell you that heavy rains started in Pakistan last week and by Sunday the streets of Lahore were flooded. Life has also been disrupted in Karachi, the capital of Sindh province, where most of the roads are flooded. The meteorological department warned that heavy rain is expected to continue until next week.
