In view of the increasing impact and threat of Corona virus infection in the national capital, the ruling Aam Aadmi Party Goverment in Delhi has taken a very important decision. In fact, the Food Safety Department of the Delhi government has banned aromatic tobacco and tobacco blended products in the capital. According to the ban order, the sale and storage of all products made from tobacco mixture in Delhi will be prohibited.

Please tell here that this order is being considered very important in view of the increasing danger and impact of Corona virus in Delhi. This restriction is imposed under the Food Safety and Standards Act. According to the Food Safety Department, tobacco consumption is hazardous to health, so the sale and storage of fragrant tobacco and every tobacco-produced product will be banned for one year.

Gutkha is already banned in Delhi. Products made from tobacco mixtures are now banned. However, khaini and tobacco are not banned. Dr. BS Charan, in-charge of the State Tobacco Control Cell, said that consumption of tobacco produces more saliva in the mouth. Because of this, people who consume tobacco have a habit of spitting in public places. It is also prone to corona infection, so an order banning tobacco products is a better step.

He told that these days, tobacco is also sold in betel nuts. Apart from this, pan masala, cloves and cardamom are also being sold by mixing tobacco, which people use a lot, while all these are harmful to health. This decision will ban the use of these products in Delhi. Overall, the people of Delhi will benefit from it.
