In response, India declared an innings by scoring 493 runs for 6 wickets in their first innings. India got a lead of 343 runs on the basis of first innings. Mayank Agarwal scored the second double century of his Test career in the first innings for Team India. Mayank Agarwal scored 243 runs off 330 balls. Ajinkya Rahane scored 86, Cheteshwar Pujara scored 54 and Ravindra Jadeja scored an unbeaten 60. Abu Zayed took 4 wickets from Bangladesh.
Starting their first innings, Team India got the first blow as Rohit Sharma (6) on a score of 14. Abu Zayed was caught by Litan Das and sent to the pavilion. After Rohit’s dismissal, Pujara and Mayank shared a 72-run partnership for the second wicket to allow India no more blows on day one.
Mayank, however, was lucky and got living on a personal score of 31. Imrul Kayes dropped Mayank’s catch in the first sleep off Zayed. Cheteshwar Pujara returned to the pavilion after completing the 23rd half-century of his Test career. Abu Zayed got him caught by Saif Hassan.
Pujara scored 54 runs off 72 balls with the help of nine fours. Captain Virat Kohli played two balls but became a victim of Zayed without opening an account. After Kohli’s departure, India’s score was reduced to three wickets for 119 runs.

The hosts needed a long partnership here which was given to them by Mayank and Rahane. Rahane was on his way to completing a century, but Zayed again brought his team a big success and sent Rahane to the pavilion at a total score of 309. Rahane and Mayank shared a 190-run partnership for the fourth wicket.
Jadeja was now with Mayank. Together these two added 123 runs for the fifth wicket. Meanwhile, Mayank completed his second double century. After touching the 200 marks, Mayank became aggressive and started scoring fast. In this effort, he was caught by Zayed at the ball of Mehdi Hasan Miraj.
Mayank faced 330 balls in his innings and hit six sixes in addition to 28 fours. Mayank’s wicket fell on a total score of 432 and on the score of 454, Wriddhiman Saha was sent to the pavilion by Ibadat Hussain on a personal score of 12.

Mayank Agarwal has maintained a brilliant form, scoring a double century in the first Test against Bangladesh. This is the second double century of Mayank’s Test career. Mayank Agarwal scored 215 runs in the Test match against South Africa in Visakhapatnam last month. This was the first double century of his career. Aggarwal faced 371 balls in this match, which hit 23 fours and 6 sixes.
