Kapil Dev said, ‘If you are on payroll then there is a conflict of interests. If you do an honorary job for a meeting, then it is not a conflict of interest. Let us tell you that recently Kapil Dev resigned from his post of Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC). Earlier, Shanta Rangaswamy also resigned from the Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC).

Shanta Rangaswamy resigned from his post just a day after the Cricket Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Ethics Officer DK Jain sent a notice to the three members of the Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC). After this, Kapil Dev also submitted his resignation while walking on his path. The third member of the CAC is Anshuman Gaekwad.

Sanjeev Gupta, a life member of the Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association, complained against the members of the CAC in September. In the complaint, Gupta claimed that CAC members are playing multiple roles simultaneously.

Gupta had said that Kapil Dev is in a conflict of interest because he is a commentator, owner of Floodlight Company and a member of the Indian Cricketers Association besides CSC. At the same time, Shanta Rangaswamy is also performing several roles including Indian Cricketers Association and CAC.
