Vodafone Idea Returns, Leaving Jio Behind In Terms Of Subscribers
New Delhi, Tech Desk. Vodafone Idea has once again become the company with the most active subscribers. According to a new TRAI report, Vodafone Idea added more subscribers than Jio in July-August. As of 31 July 2019, Vodafone Idea has become 38 million active subscribers of 380 million. At the same time, Jio has 339.8 million (about 340 crore) users, while Bharti Airtel has 328.5 million (about 329 crore) active users.
According to the latest TRAI report, the number of wireless subscribers in the country has gone up to 1,168.3 million, or about 117 crore. By the end of July, only Reliance Jio and BSNL had added new subscribers. Jio added 8.5 million new subscribers, while BSNL added 2 lakh new subscribers. However, Vodafone Idea has lost the most number of subscribers from the end of last July to the end of this July. This trend of Vodafone Idea has been there for the last several months.
