Terrorists kidnapped and murdered Gurjars, violation of ceasefire at two places in Poonch
Terrorism incidents have come to light after the removal of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir. Militants abducted two members of the nomadic Gujra community in Pulwama district on Monday and then shot and killed one of them. Police has given information about the incident. As well as police in Poonch area, a ceasefire has been violated on Monday. According to the media report, the Union Home Ministry is going to have a high level meeting today (Tuesday) on the situation in Jammu and Kashmir.
A police spokesman said Abdul Qadir Kohli of Rajouri district and Manzoor Ahmed of Khonmoh area of Srinagar were abducted by unidentified gunmen from ‘Dhok’. He further said that Kohli’s bullet-riddled body was later recovered by search and rescue teams. At present, the identity of the other person is not known. A search operation is on to search for him.
There has been a ceasefire violation in 2 places in Poonch. A militant was arrested after setting fire to a truck following a joint check-post by police and military in the area of Delina Chowk. At the same time, another terrorist got bribed in a nearby area. Currently, the search operation continues.
Let us tell you that this is the first such terrorist incident after the Central Government announced the division of the states into Union Territories on August 5, removing special status from Jammu and Kashmir. Significantly, after this decision of the central government, a ban was imposed in the valley. However, the ban has now been lifted from most areas of Kashmir.
