In this match, Williamson demolished the record of Team India’s Hitman Rohit Sharma. Williamson has become the first player to complete 1,000 runs in just 17 innings in England. Before that, this record was Rohit Sharma’s name, which touched 1000 runs in 18 innings.

Players who make the fastest 1000 runs in England…

18 Innings – Rohit Sharma

19 Innings- Shikhar Dhawan

21 Innings- Vivian Richards

22 Innings – Rahul Dravid / M Trescothick

23 inning- Johnny Bairstow

The first three of these have crossed the milestone in the 2019 World Cup.

In the match played on Wednesday, New Zealand beat South Africa by 4 wickets in the ICC World Cup-2011 match played at Edgbaston ground on the partnership between captain Kane Williamson (103 not out) and all-rounder Colin de Grandhaum (60). Green has continued its winning sequence.

Due to rain, the match started with delay and this was the reason 49 overs per innings were played. South Africa scored 241 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 49 overs on the basis of the fierce fifties of Rasie Dar Dussen and Hashim Amla.

South African bowlers, however, created trouble for the Kiwi team but bad fielding and Williamson-Colin duo helped New Zealand to lose 6 wickets in 48.3 overs. Lungi Nagadi brought D Glandohom out in the 48th over to thrill in the match, but in the last over, Williamson completed his century with sixes and then won the team with a run.
