Stock markets rally on Friday after PM Modi’s swearing, with the rise of 184 points, the Sensex crosses 40,016.50

New Delhi. Once the Prime Minister took oath of PM’s post on Friday, the country’s stock market opened firmly on Friday. Major index Sensex opened at 40,016.50 with a rise of 184 points in the morning session. While the Nifty opened 45 points higher at 11,991.50. 

The top gainers
Berger Paints BSE 12 per cent, UCO Bank 0.55 per cent, KNR Constructions 8.85 per cent, Coal India 7.40 per cent,  
Hindustan Petroleum 8.90 per cent. On the NSE, NTPC was up 3.32 per cent, Yesbank 2.34 per cent, Bajaj Finance 2.28 per cent, Bharat Petroleum 2.10 per cent. Bharti Airtel was top-gainers with 2.05 percent.

These are top losers Among the preferred BSE, 5.70 per cent, Nagarjuna Construction Company Limited 10.55 per cent, PC Jewelers 4.45 per cent, EIH Ltd. 9.85 per cent, Jain Irrigation System 2.25 per cent. In the NSE, Sun Pharma 2.57%, Eicher Motors 2.22%, Zee Entertainment Enterprises 2.13%, Mahindra & Mahindra 2.03%, Oil & Natural Gas Corporation 1.34% and Top Lodgers
