Washington, ANI. 90 foreign students have been arrested for enrolling in a US Fake University. The highest number of these students is from India. The US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has so far arrested over 250 students who were lured by the Department of Homeland Security into the now-closed University of Farmington in the Detroit metropolitan area.
The ICE arrested 161 students in March from a fake university established by it. When it was closed in March, it had 600 Indians, mostly Indians.
In recent months, 90 students have been arrested. This then led to resentment with the #AbolishICE hashtag Grounding Ground on social media platforms.
According to an ICE spokesperson of the 250 students arrested so far, about 80 percent of the students left the United States at their will.
At the same time, the final order has been given to remove about half of the remaining 20 percent. Federal prosecutors claim that the students knew it was a fake university because there were no classes.
