5 Afghan civilians caught in Bihar with Rs 5 lakh cash and fake ID: Police
The police arrested these Afghan citizens on Tuesday in Katihar, Bihar. Earlier he had told himself of Katihar but many more documents have been found in the police investigation.
Five Afghans (Afghan Nationals) have been arrested by the police from Chaudhary Mohalla under Nagar police station in Katihar district of Bihar . Superintendent of Police Vikas Kumar said on Wednesday that the police have recovered more than five lakh rupees in cash, documents related to the amount transactions and many other documents from these Afghan nationals arrested on Tuesday.
He said that these foreign nationals arrested during interrogation had declared themselves to be residents of Katihar, but during the search of their residence, the said documents were recovered from there. He said that out of those arrested, three have valid passports, while two do not.
Varman said that a total of seven people, including five foreign nationals, have been named accused in this case. He said that among the accused named, foreign nationals Mohammad Dawood alias Shergul Khan, Kamran alias Raja Khan, Fazal Mohammad alias Samud Khan, A.D. Mohammed Raja alias Raja Khan and Ghulam Mohammed and absconding are their local landlord Monajir and another person Almar Khan.
Varman said that in the initial investigation, everyone’s involvement in giving money on transactions and interest has come to light. Action is being taken against all the accused under money laundering and foreign immigration law.
