300 crore manipulated by film companies, evidence against Tapasi - CBDT

Income tax department claims – evidence of taking cash of Rs 5 crore against Taapsee Pannu

The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has issued a statement for the first time amid questions arising over the raid of income tax on Bollywood celebrities and production companies. In which it has been told that during the raids on 28 different targets, manipulation of Rs 300 crores has been detected. Also, actress Taapsee Pannu has also been accused.

Difference between production earnings and box office collection

According to a statement issued by the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT), 28 different locations were raided, including both the house and the office. But it is raided. During this raid, the earnings related to the film production and the actual box office collection were seen, in which the manipulation of about 300 crores has been revealed.

Taapsee Pannu is also accused of taking crores of cash

Allegations have been made about the actress Taapsee Pannu by issuing a statement on behalf of IT. It has been said that the actress has found evidence of this in 5 crore rupees in cash. Apart from this, many bogus expenses related to major directors / producers have been found. In this, there has been talk of tax manipulation of about 20 crores in total. Similar things have come out in the case of actresses. Raids are still going on at all the bases.

It has been told that during this raid the Income Tax Department has collected digital data from different locations such as laptops, mobile phones, hard drives and pen drives. Along with this, WhatsApp chat and some bank lockers are also being investigated.

Raising questions regarding raids

Let us know that the house and other locations of Bollywood actress Taapsee Pannu, director Anurag Kashyap and producer Vikas Bahl were raided by the Income Tax Department on March 3. Apart from this, raids were also conducted at the bases of the officers of Quan Talent Management. After this raid, Anurag Kashyap and Taapsee Pannu were also questioned for several hours. After this raid, the opposition leaders have alleged that the income tax has made it red at the behest of the central government. Because Anurag Kashyap and Taapsee have been consistently vocal against the policies of the government. Apart from the opposition, many Bollywood celebs have also criticized this raid.
