20 killed in a stampede in African country Niger, 15 women and five children among those killed
A stampede in the African country of Niger has left 20 dead. The dead included 15 women and five children. More than 10 people have been injured in this accident.
The regional governor said that the accident took place at the Youth and Cultural Center in Difa on Monday when free food and money were being distributed to the refugees. More than 2.5 lakh refugees and displaced people are living here.
An employee of Difa Municipal Corporation said that food items, cooking oil, clothes, and money were to be distributed here, and thousands of people gathered in the center and the surrounding area.
He told that as soon as the first person got the goods, there was a wave of happiness among the people present there, and after this, women and children started to push around in a hurry to get relief material quickly.
